Snow started to fall in our area about an hour ago. It was forecast for later in the weekend, so I think this will catch many off guard. I was out and about today and just had a feeling that it would happen sooner. Something in the air. After dropping my dd off at our centre, I stopped at the grocery store to pick up the last few items we'd need for Thanksgiving dinner on Sunday. At the last moment, I picked up a second turkey for next weekend, as we'll have our son arriving from a movie shoot, so he'll miss this weekend's big dinner. Two turkeys, brussel sprouts, carrots, peas, gravy, potatoes, butternut squash and cranberries. We'll make biscuits with cheese and a fresh salad. Pumpkin pie for desert and something sweet to add to the trays. Mmmm, dreaming of something chocolatey!
I grabbed a new tin of tea to try ~ a herbal Chamomile. Someone made me a cup last week at work and it was so good. Looking forward to a steaming cup later tonight.
Bills are paid, work is done for now, our pantry is full and we have lots of fun projects we can work on while the snow falls all weekend. I stopped at the library today and picked up 10 magazines to read ~ Victoria, Yoga, Mary Janes Farm, Real Simple, Dollhouse Miniatures, Somerset Studio and Artful Blogging. Perhaps an early night with a cuppa tea and a magazine. Or a steamy hot bubble bath while oogling and aahing over tiny dollhouse ideas! It's far too early for snow but for this weekend, the idea that we'll just stay home and bake, sleep, create and cook an amazing Thanksgiving dinner is just what we need.
Hope you have a lovely weekend.

Happy Thanksgiving and snow weekend !
Thank you Anne! The snow has been falling off and on all day. It won't last, as the temperatures are set to rise next week. But it is making for a very festive holiday weekend, even if it is the wrong holiday to be looking out the window and seeing snow!
I can hardly believe you have snow already Chy! Goodness, that makes me feel wintery- in a good way! Your weekend sounds like a perfect, cosy, homey one! X
Lots of snow now Penny. Just had another storm. We're hunkering down now for a long winter, which we haven't had for decades. Ugh!!
