Shortest Day.
Today is the shortest day of the year. We woke
up to a bit darker sky and bits of snow gently
falling down. The wind picked up and all day
we've been battling huge gusts and snow that
is swirling all around us. Hoping that after it
ends later tonight that the rest of our Christmas
holidays are sunny and warm. The Solstice
marks the end of Fall, the beginning of our
Winter season and reminds us that after the
end of this day, the days will begin to become
longer and brighter. I always look forward to
this time of year for holidays and brighter days.

Happy Winter Solstice!
Snug in our house while the snow
falls outside, softly to the ground.
The longest day of the year was cold,
but sunny, bitter but warm.
Happy Winter Solstice to you!
