Blogtober: Day 26.

Fall cleaning means making sure we have all our

baking items for the holidays. Washing out all the

storage containers and filling them back up with

new supplies. Can't wait to start our holiday baking.

Blogtober: Day 18.

We decided there wasn't enough cabinets

for all the things we need to store, so we

ordered more for the back hallway. There

will be uppers, lowers and a counter top.

Addition Dream.

When life gets too stressful, I start

dreaming about adding an addition

to our little cottage in the big woods.

We have a big window seat in our

master bedroom that we love and

use often. But the long one in our

kitchen is a waster of space. I think

we may pull it out and put some

cabinets under the window instead

for more storage and counter space.

If we do add an addition, I would

love to have this more functional

window seat at the front door so

guests have a spot to sit to put their

shoes on. Isn't it the sweetest little

spot? Dreaming, dreaming now!

Paperwork Pile.

Before we moved in to this house, we shredded many years of old records and paper. It was so freeing to empty box after box of items we no longer needed to hang on to. And so far, I've not yet needed any of those items that were gone. No here we are, 2 years later and my paperwork pile is starting to grow again. We have a handy tote that holds all our current files and a couple of box of files that hold archived tax returns, official documents and items we are comfortable tucking away for now. My shredder though is going to come out soon to trash the items that are really not worth hanging on to. As organized as I am with paper, I'm truly looking forward to making my paperwork pile shrink down to nothing.

Lovely Lockers!

Another surprise from the new house.

Our lovely lockers were built on site.

They'll soon be painted & then we can buy sweet 

baskets for the cubbies that are above & below the

seating & coat hanging area. There are 4 for the adults

& then we have a smaller wall shelf to hang for Mr. B,
