Like a good part of North America, we're in the middle of a deep freeze. Tonight, the temperature is going down to a bone chilling - 40 C and with the windchill, it will be much closer to - 50 C. We're safe, warm and cozy in our house, the fridge and pantry are full of food, bills are paid, the cars are filled with gas .... we're ready for icy Armageddon! By Sunday, the temperatures are supposed to go back to a more balmy seasonal number and by the middle of next week, we'll be sitting at - 1 if not warmer. I'm hoping this is the one and only deep freeze we get all Winter. It's been years since it's been this cold and I'm not a fan. At least we've been able to truly stay home and just, sorry for the pun, chill .... hope you are doing ok in the cold, wherever home is. Stay warm, my dear blog friends.

Sun Dogs.
In early December, when we had icy cold days,
sun dogs kept appearing in the bright sky.
I took these shots when I was leaving our centre
on afternoon, on my way home to cuddle up with
my warm blanket and yummy tea. It was actually
too cold to stay on site with the temps. Thankful
I can make the call to send me crew home and off
we went. Very pretty to look at but far too cold!!
