Frozen Treats.

We let our pumpkins, uncarved and
unpainted to be left out for the deer
visit our cottage often. Since I took
this photo, they've devoured 2 of
the gourds, and the other 2 we did
move away from the brick pile for
easier access. A lovely treat for our
little friends in the woods. Yummy!

Deer Treats.

We put out our pumpkins this year for
the deer to snack on. They lasted 2 days!

Pumpkin Hunting.

Pumpkin hunting will be happening today. We need
a few to fill the front veranda before Thanksgiving
dinner with our neighbors from down the lane. We
do have a couple of "fake" white ones but need orange.

Wish us luck!

Tiny Pumpkins.

Tiny pumpkins at the base of the fireplace,
brightening the hearth and gracing our home.

Boo .....

White painted pumpkins for Halloween.
We grew white ones in our patch this year.

But I didn't decorate them. Just put them
on the front steps with the orange ones.
Maybe next year but I do love these
painted ones. New ideas to try out.

We have Pumpkins ....

Just a few but they've popped through
in both garden boxes that we've planted
in so far. We have rows of orange in
one box and white ones in the other.

And Darkness Fell ....

I was able to capture a few shots before
it became too dark to use my camera.

Our Halloween front door for this year.
I forgot we had these lights ~ tiny ghosts.

It was fun to make pumpkins groups
and light our lanterns, setting the scene.

We carved 4 pumpkins ~ an arrow at
the beginning of our driveway and then
a Peace sign, a sad face and BOO on our
veranda. We had lots of compliments.

The white lanterns were a gift. We had
a few grey ones and they looked great
together. Just enough light to brighten
the path and the veranda. We now have
5 white and 3 grey and I hope to gather
a few more in the future. They are nice
and bright and the wind (which we have
tonight) can't blow out all the candles.

Pumpkins and Flowers.

This island is so colorful. I couldn't resist taking some
pics of locally grown pumpkins, organic of course!

Flowers everywhere, even for sale at the market.

Hanging baskets that will last through the winter.

Love the "shut" sign! And pretty pink blossoms.

Flowers sprouting from the parking lot blocks.

And lining the window gardens at a local store.

I'm going to miss the vibrant colors. And the smell
of the sea. The sweet air and the smiling locals.

Do you still have beautiful flowers where you live?
And colorful pumpkins just waiting for Halloween?
