Nature Works.

Even though we're home now, safe, sound and warm, I have lots of memories to share about our island vacation. I will apologize in advance for spreading these memories throughout the rest of October as I sift through our pictures and add words to the images. Bear with me!

One of my favorite stores on the island is called Nature Works. It reminds me quite a bit of our Planet Organic store back home. Nature based food items and products that don't contain chemicals. My kind of store, my kind of eating! I love the atmosphere too. Kind of like shopping at one of the old stores we used to go to when I was small and we spent Summers at the lake. Everything was wood, the door was screened and you took your groceries home in a basket or a paper bag. So earthy, so natural. Just the way life should be!

Vintage Bookstore.

A recent Sunday downtown to visit a bookstore
we haven't been to in years. A favorite spot to
explore and spend time in. When we lived in the
great Big City, we used to go often but don't now.

Sunny day and vintage entrance.
Long rows of books and treasures.

Everything in order but hard to find.
No computers to look up our finds.

Under a table towards the back
of the store. A sweet little space.

Kids areas downstairs. We spent
time looking for our grandkids.

Look at those railings. Can you imagine
how many hands have held on over the years?

Prayer flags gave a holistic feel. Dh
at the top of the stairs as we walked.

The outside with a vintage feel that
welcomes all who seek atmosphere.

Bagged Blooms.

We picked up some sweet blush tulips from
the store the other day. I can't wait when we
will be able to just go out to our garden and
snip some blooms vs. buying them from a bag.

How are your garden blooms doing?

Colorful Peppers.

I'm a very visual person ~ part of being
an artist I guess. Our local store has some
great ways of displaying their goods. This
one is currently my favorite. Looks good.
