Christmas Dinner.

We decided this year to not cook a turkey as it was

just a smaller than usual crowd for the 25th. We had

company after the big day, and more to come but for

the actual day, we enjoyed a roasted chicken with

amazing gravy, fresh peas, mashed rutabaga, mashed

potatoes, stuffing, cranberry sauce, pickles and fresh,

homemade buns. For after, we had a variety of squares,

cookies and tarts. The best part was we didn't have a

lot of leftovers that may have gotten thrown out later.

A much easier dinner and so very good.  Scrumptious!!

2nd Thanksgiving.

In honor of friends and family members

who reside in the United States, we made

a little bit of a Thanksgiving Dinner last

night. Chicken instead of turkey but so good!

Christmas Dinner.,

I seem to be missing a photo of the amazing turkey.

We found a Pinty's brand this year that had Bourbon

infused in the bird and it was so amazing! For our

Thanksgiving dinner with the same brand, it was a

herb and garlic version ~ just as amazing! Looking

forward to our leftovers for tonight. Probably the last

bits will be all gone. We had lovely peas with onion,

mushrooms, parsley, lemon and some creme de fraiche.

Warm, fresh buns with butter. Mashed herbed tatoes.

Stuffing, gin infused cranberries. And pickles! It took

a bit on Christmas day before we actually had any of

the deserts as we were all so full from dinner. Yum!!
