Educator Gifts.

Because we are so honored to have the most amazing

team members at our centre, it was important to both

of us that we celebrate and honor them. For our first

day of operation, we gifted them each a journal, a

key and a star, representing memories they can write

about, the key that they hold to each child's heart,

and the star because they are all "rock stars!" It was

fun to watch them open their gifts. We are thankful!

Our First Day.

There were a few tears but many smiles

and laughter today when we opened

our new centre. Families loved our

space and we are so thankful. Joy!!

Our License!

We were finally granted our license in

the past week. Really didn't think this

was going to happen. Today, we hung

up the framed license at our front door.

And tomorrow, we finally open for

our first day of operation. So excited!

Getting Ready.

We're getting ready to open our new centre and it

feels like it's turning into a very cozy place. I'm so

excited to get past the construction and into the work.

Soon we'll have littles running around and happy parents!

First Snow!

As we settle in to our new home, our

new centre, we've joked about the first

snow that would soon arrive. In 2023,

the snow didn't arrive until December.

But this year, after a meeting in our

kitchen that is still waiting for a real

window, I came around the corner

to my office and squealed out loud!

Snow was falling in big flakes. It was

not sticking on the ground but falling

so lightly from the sky. My team all

started coming to see and we had a

bit of a laugh that we were so excited

to see the "white stuff!" We know it

will soon truly arrive and stay, and

then we won't be so excited to see it

anymore. For now, it made the day

feel warm and cozy inside and gave

us the chance to do more bonding

over our heaping cups of sweet tea!

Blogtober: Day 20.

When we were trying to pick flooring

for the new centre, we narrowed it down

to these 2 choices. And then we chose

the lighter floor and are so happy with it!

Blogtober: Day 19.

One of the things we'd love to the

new centre in time is this door trim

that will make each classroom feel

like a cottage. In time, as we have

too much to do now. Maybe later

in the Spring or early in Summer.

Blogtober: Day 18.

We decided there wasn't enough cabinets

for all the things we need to store, so we

ordered more for the back hallway. There

will be uppers, lowers and a counter top.

Blogtober: Day 12.

We came in on the weekend to do a bit

more work on our Centre. I can't wait to

set up my little corner office. So many

huge windows (10 feet tall) and the sun

will keep it warm and cozy thru the

long Winter. Working hard to be done!
