Goodbye June.

It was a lovely month. A healing time. A milestone

that a year ago I didn't think I'd see. A new journey

as we started the renos on our new centre. A new

path of dreams and letting go of the drama. Sweet!

New Baby.

We have an incredible volunteer at our

centre who recently had a sweet, new

baby girl. This was after much loss and

heartache. It was such a privilege and

honor to hold her little one at a meeting

she attended in our little office. I'm truly

looking forward to having this one in our

space and watching her grow from tiny

baby to curious toddler, and beyond. I

had fun finding a little gift to welcome

her to the world and hope she loves this

musical soft toy. Her mom loved it! Yes!

Everything's New.

New school year, new school, new haircut and

best of all, a new playground with the tallest slide!

It's been a mix of a great week for our little guy

and a hard week as he tries to fit in. He'll do it!!

A Goodbye.

This has been an emotional week as

my team and I packed up our offices.

Our old hospice is being torn down and

a brand new one being built in it's place.

It's exciting but leaving our old place has

also been bittersweet. So many stories and

experiences in these walls. Laughter and

tears mixed with goodbyes as we move on.

A new deer in the neighborhood. This

one still has lots of golden brown hair.

Worth the Wait.

 

After living in our home for over

8 months, we finally have light in 

our little hall that is between our linen 

closet and our master bedroom.

It was a long wait but so worth it.

Now we have to tackle hanging

up the pictures that will line our

walls. Can't wait for the next step.

New House Update: Part Two.

Hi everyone!

More pictures today to show the progress of our house. These four pictures are from the front door. Starting at the top left, the first photo shows the view into the living room. Front "door" is on the right side of the picture. Today we received news that our front door has finally arrived and was in the warehouse getting it's first coat of black paint for the exterior. Can't wait to see it! The next picture, top right is looking from the front door, showing the living room on the right, with beautiful, bright sunlight, and the hall going into the great room. The door you see is the front door closet. Our current home doesn't have a front door. We're so excited to have one now! Bottom left picture is looking from the great room hallway to the front door, that of course, is just a piece of wood until the real one is installed next week. And final picture, bottom right, is our dd doing her "queen's wave" from the Juliette balcony. I love the curve!!

The shots start with the top left that is a view from the great room, looking towards the turret and the staircase. The alcove under the stairs is where a desk will go, to write, pay bills, look up recipes, etc. There will be shelves above the desk. The next picture is our dd holding our grandson's hand as they walk through the great room . Picture in the bottom left is the fireplace with one of the nooks that will eventually be a bookcase. Final shot is another view of the desk alcove and the hall to the front hall.
