Fireworks!

Hi everyone!

We just enjoyed the Annual New Year's Eve Fireworks outside in the centre of town. Loud, musical and colorful, you can see them all the way to our house. Our community has a big party every year and the fireworks at eight p.m. are the highlight of the evening. The big city beside us has their countdown and fireworks at midnight, so technically, you could get in two shows in one night. We did that one year and truly felt our display was so much better. Amazing!

Have you enjoyed any fireworks yet?

Canada Day!

We had a relaxing Canada Day today. Just me & the guy, sleeping in, lazing about, a cool hot tub, a nap, time to write, plan my quilt, then a drive in to town to have dinner, a bit of walking about & finally, choosing a spot on the pier to watch the fireworks tonight. They started at 10:15 & lasted at least 15 minutes, with music & lots of excitement for the next set of blasts!
Loved "people watching" today. So heartwarming to watch little children talk to older people, teens talking to older people, older people talking to little children, older people talking to teens, & finally, teens talking to little children & older people. An eclectic community, where all commune together. Love it!
