Sweet Charlotte.

We bought this beautifully framed painting
last year at the Antique Mall. It's often paired
with a little boy. But we scoured the Mall
and could not find him. The title for this
one is "Charlotte" and we hope we'll find
the boy "Peter" at some point. Wish us luck!

Painting, Painting.

We're getting ready to sell our other house ... and
part of the "getting ready" is painting, painting,
painting .... ceilings, doors, trim .... it's never ending.
But at the end of the day, it will be so worth the time!

Sunday Task.

Our living room is small and cozy but still needs
some work. I have been sewing curtains to go with
the lace and am almost done. I had to buy new rods
as a double was required. You know what this means!

The view from the front door. At the moment though,
this room and our dining room are turned upside down.

Yup, it's time to paint again! Taking down
the single curtain rods to put up the doubles
meant I had to fill the holes, so then that
transpired in to painting the rooms again.

Yesterday was prep day and today, because it's
raining again all day today is painting day. Until
our Board Meeting later today. Which means I'll
shower before that, have the meeting, drive in to
town quick for a pick up and then back to put
everything back in it's place if all goes well this
morning. I love freshly painted walls and though
we've lived here 5 years, this is the 2nd time I've
painted the house. Same color, just a refresh! I
did the art studio last week and this week is the
two rooms in the front, then the family room,
kitchen and laundry room, the back mudroom,
down the hall then upstairs to tackle the upper
hall, our bedroom and our bathroom. Then we
should be good for another couple of years. All
this because I needed to switch out the single
curtain rods for doubles! I love painting so this
is a good thing. It's my "therapy" and cheaper!!

Office Art.

I finally hung up the charity shop painting
I picked up when we secured our grief office.

The colors in the painting ended up guiding
us as we chose the colors for the space. I
love the soft and warm tones. And the tones
that are light and playful. So very calming.

Final Painting.

I'm down to the last little bit to paint
in our new little office. I should be
done by the end of this coming week.
A bit of trim, then set up. So close!

Antique Mall Update.

Not the best picture but we figured out
what we can use for displaying items in
our booth. This shelf was a dark green
but we've lightened it up with this lovely
shade. We have another unit as well and
look forward to our move in tomorrow.

Weekend "To Do" List.

Our weekends are pretty full now that we're in the last
few weeks of packing up & moving. Time to sell the
house! We have a few things to finish up before we
can list. The list is long but manageable. Want to see?

*pull out the storage unit from the laundry room
*rip up the old vinyl floor from the laundry room
*fill holes, scrape, then the walls in the laundry room
*scrape out the last little bits of thin set on the tiles
*grout then wash all the new tiles in the kitchen
*finish painting the last coat on the kitchen cabinets
*shop for then install the new drawer & cabinet knobs
*put down the new vinyl floors in the 1/2 bath, laundry
room & at the front door to give a fresh look
*finish up the last bits of baseboard & door trim
*paint said baseboards & trim & do touch ups

Packing & purging has gone well. Today, I'm packing
up our china cabinet then I'll tackle the last bits in my
art studio. On Monday, I hope to finish up the 4th
bedroom as we'll tackle the renos on the weekend.

Soon, soon, all this work will be done!!
