Beautiful June.

It's still early but our garden is starting to bloom. So
many new sights to see every day. It's become a little
highlight of my day to take a stroll through the secret
garden and marvel at the colors. Welcome beautiful June!

Tiny Garden.

A month ago, I posted this sweet pic of a tiny "Peter Rabbits Garden" with the intent on recreating it in our Secret Garden this year. The story of Peter Rabbit will always hold a special place in my heart as I cast in the production back in kindergarten. I played one of Peter's little sisters. I think I was Cottontail but cannot be quite sure. I recall my sweet costume, complete with the fluffy round tail, and we all got Dairy Queen Dilly Bars once the play was done. We had to be so careful before the production to not get a spec of dirt on our costumes but once it was done, we all had chocolate smeared all over our faces, and I'm sure some on the material. My pink bunny costume with the ears and the white tail hung in my closet for years. So year, the story of Peter Rabbit has many memories for me. I hope I can recreate the tiny garden above. The biggest challenge will be the little blue jacket. I'm going to give it a good try!

We woke up to heavy fog today. It's now burning off because the sun is shining but it was quite eery this morning. Today, for the first time in 42 weeks, I'm at home, all alone, with my thoughts and my worries. Dh has been beside me every day but today, he had a meeting and normally, I likely would have attended too but I have a virtual meeting in an hour, so staying home made more sense. Later today, I'm off to visit a dear friend but dh will come home in between and we'll have lunch together first. Then it's off to her house, then a stop in town to pick up dd who is working at our preschool today, then home for a virtual class, dinner and finally, our virtual board meeting. Many things to keep me busy. Helps when I'm all alone.

Hope your day is going well and the sun is out!

Snow Garden.

Despite the blizzard, the "snow garden" that came out
of my secret garden is amazing in the gentle and quiet
snow. I love the look and I'm sure a few of our little
deer friends will appreciate all the plants to munch on.

Snowy Bench.

This is from last year when we had more
snow. It's my favorite photo from our tiny
Secret Garden. Our bench, the large pot
for flowers, and our shiny reflection globe.

Do you have a bench in your garden?

Fall Garden.

Across from the mulched beds, our
tiny Secret Garden. Very lush this year.

But now a shade of Fall has appeared.
Loving the new colors and the brightness.

Our sweet bench and the pot we filled
this year with pretty annuals. And a
new addition to the garden  .... a wishing
ball on a concrete stand. No wishes yet!

A path through the trees. The deer often
walk around this area. Love they have a
path or two to follow as they wander. I
wonder if they love Fall as much as we do.

Fall Secret Garden.

Our leaves have begun to turn already. I truly love
Fall but this is just too early. We didn't get Summer!

Our teetering tots don't seem to mind.
All seasons just work around them.

Our pretty bench with the potted plants
did well this year. A lovely spot to sit.

This area will need some attention. It's hard to see
the old wooden bench and the birdbath. A good
trim with the garden tools will get this spot back
to it's open and inviting purpose. But it's pouring
rain today so this will have to wait. Hopefully
we'll get Summer in our Secret Garden soon ....

Our Secret Garden

I love taking pictures of our little "Secret Garden"
after the rain has finally ended. A work in progress.

But progress is happening. We planted
these sweet perennials last Spring. A
combination of purple, blue, pink and
white. I love how they are flourishing.

Our teeter totter survived another cold
Winter and looks so playful in the trees.
