Tiny Garden.

A month ago, I posted this sweet pic of a tiny "Peter Rabbits Garden" with the intent on recreating it in our Secret Garden this year. The story of Peter Rabbit will always hold a special place in my heart as I cast in the production back in kindergarten. I played one of Peter's little sisters. I think I was Cottontail but cannot be quite sure. I recall my sweet costume, complete with the fluffy round tail, and we all got Dairy Queen Dilly Bars once the play was done. We had to be so careful before the production to not get a spec of dirt on our costumes but once it was done, we all had chocolate smeared all over our faces, and I'm sure some on the material. My pink bunny costume with the ears and the white tail hung in my closet for years. So year, the story of Peter Rabbit has many memories for me. I hope I can recreate the tiny garden above. The biggest challenge will be the little blue jacket. I'm going to give it a good try!

We woke up to heavy fog today. It's now burning off because the sun is shining but it was quite eery this morning. Today, for the first time in 42 weeks, I'm at home, all alone, with my thoughts and my worries. Dh has been beside me every day but today, he had a meeting and normally, I likely would have attended too but I have a virtual meeting in an hour, so staying home made more sense. Later today, I'm off to visit a dear friend but dh will come home in between and we'll have lunch together first. Then it's off to her house, then a stop in town to pick up dd who is working at our preschool today, then home for a virtual class, dinner and finally, our virtual board meeting. Many things to keep me busy. Helps when I'm all alone.

Hope your day is going well and the sun is out!

Very Precious.

Tiny miniatures on my favorite shelf. I
found all of these via thrifting or they
were gifts from friends and families. All
are so very tiny and very precious to me.

The Tiniest Tree.

We have several trees in the house. Our
new pencil tree in the family room, a small
tree on the antique cabinet in the living
room, a good sized one in master bedroom,
both daughter's have their own trees and
then we have the tiniest tree on the piano
in our dining room. I believe that is a total
of 6 trees inside the house. There is also 2
trees on either side of the front door out
on the veranda. So 8 altogether. My very
favorite is this tiniest one on the piano. I
put little lights on it this year and it's just
so sweet, giving some light in the room
and shining out the window on our dark
and frosty nights. My mom was gifted it
one year from a friend and now we love it!

Do you have more than one tree in your home?
If you do, do you have a very favorite one?

Tiny Pups.

I love when puppies come to work.
This little one was just 8 weeks old.

One day, we'll have a pup again.
Until then, I dream of tiny furballs!

Tiny Bretton.

Our sweet and tiny baby boy was born
still on March 25th, 1996. Yesterday,
he would have turned 26 years old if
he was still with us. Each year, we do
honor his birthday with a sweet cake
and a candle, and we spend time with
his precious items that show his short
time in our lives. His death created a
change in our lives and we now view
this as a gift. A change for myself in
my career path and a change for us in
how we view the World. A sweet gift.

Bretton~Ellijah Lucas will always be our
tiniest son and he will be forever loved.

Tiny Critter.

We have a new tiny critter who has
discovered the seeds the birds fling
out of our feeder on to the desk. It
is quite the buffet for this little guy.

Tiny Cottage.

Isn't this the sweetest tiny cottage. If we could ever
build on our little island, I'd love this design. Love!

Tiny Deer.

He guards the Christmas Tree room
each day, keeping any predators away.
Our tiny gold deer is faithful and a
bit menacing as he stands his ground.

Mini Greenhouse.

We wanted to try and start growing our
veggie patch inside the house this year.

I found this sweet little greenhouse kit
at the local dollar store last weekend.

We've now planted a variety of veggies,
herbs and even some flowers to bloom.

Fingers crossed this works well and next year,
if all goes well, we can start our seeds in a
real greenhouse out in the garden. We hope
to buy one by Fall so we'd be ready for 2020.

Have you ever used used a mini greenhouse?
Do you have a big greenhouse in your garden?

Our Island Tree.

We have the tiniest little tree on
our big kitchen island each year.

I love how it illuminates and creates
a nice glow as we cook and bake.

Small ornaments, given and bought
and even made decorate the branches.

Just one little piece of Christmas in
our little house in the big woods.

Honoring a Special Day.

On Friday, we spent some time together
as a family to honor our tiniest daughter.

A special day because she doesn't reside
in our home, just in our hearts and our minds.

Our tiny daughter was stillborn 17 years
ago and we miss her every day. We often
wonder what she'd be like if she was here
to share her special day. Sweet, we're sure!
