Fresh Fruit.

We love fresh fruit but find it can be
so expensive because of where we live.

But a new store opened that offers amazing
fresh fruit and veggies at decent pricing. So
much better than the big grocery stores. We
have found ways to make out little amounts
last longer so we don't have to throw any
out. Working well and I'm loving the variety!

Fresher Food.

We buy this coleslaw at least twice a
week but struggle to keep it truly fresh.

I'm not a fan of plastic anything but this
week, we're going to try a new process.

Ziplock bag with the date clearly marked.
Now we can see the date and keep air out.

Bagged up strawberries, blueberries,
watermelons and tiny cucumbers too.

Hoping this "experiment" works well.
I hate throwing out food more than I
hate plastics, so a fine balance is in the
works now. Wish us luck for this week!

Farmer's Market.

We went to the Farmer's Market in
the Big City yesterday. And indulged!

Cheesecake Caramels, Organic Carrots,
Scallions, Honey and Garlic Sausage.

Always so much to look at, like these
pumpkins and gourds. So very colorful.

And jams and jellies of all kinds. We did not
buy these but it was fun to see the various flavors.

Do you have a local Farmer's Market?
Do you love to shop at one if you do?

Farm Fresh.

Our recent small haul from our local
community Farmer's Market last week.

Crunchy, tasty and oh so delicious!
One day, our garden will look like this.
