Door Prize!

Today we attended our local Chamber of

Commerce Breakfast as we do every

Thursday morning. Surprise! We won

one of the door prizes. Such a treat!

Winterfest.

Winterfest was held this year on my birthday on the

30th of November. It was lovely to head in to town

to visit with friends and community members. With

music, goodies and trees to auction off, a fun day!

Our Festival Guitar.

This year, we had a local artist make

this amazing guitar for our music

festival. We asked youth in the area

to send in a letter outlining why they

should be chosen to receive this gift.

It was so hard to choose but we did

and our winner was so humble. This

went so well, we're doing it again for

2025 and look forward to the contest.

Somewhere, there is a deserving youth.

New Project.

We've created a new project

that we hope to launch in the

New Year. I needed some tiny

crotched items and our great

community responded. I'm

beyond thrilled and thankful!

May Memorial.

Each May, we gather to remember our sweet and

precious babies. We support families and increase

awareness about baby loss in our community. It's

a beautiful day full of sorrow and hope, memories

and love. We share names, stories, written words

that are buried. And tea before we head out to the

cemetery. This year, we started out with a beautiful

day but later on, a huge storm rolled in. Memorable.

Spring Conference.

We had our Spring Conference for Early Childhood

Educators today. Such a great day and on top of the

learning, there was connection and sharing. I'm so

proud to be part of this organization. New energy!

May Conference.

Today, we attended a conference for women, focused
on grief, balance, living and community. I wasn't ready

for a conference at this time but with encouragement

and community around me, I did attend and am so

happy for this experience. I truly didn't know I needed

this until I was there, and then I didn't want to leave!

The Big Project ....

We've been keeping our "big project" under wraps but now that we have the keys to our new space, bits and pieces of our journey can be shared. Yesterday, we had the keys in hand just before lunch and within an hour, we had already set up our tools and started taking down the big wall in the third photos with the tall shelves still attached. That wall is now gone! And all the other pieces we needed to tackle are done too. Tucked away into the dumpster that will be carted away. Studs to come down, the electrical that we don't need has been disconnected and now we are ready for the contractors to come in and rebuild the inside. Our outdoor space is under review as well. Visiting other sites and lots of research has given us some great ideas. Now to make sure they fit within our budget. Funding was provided for our build and the items we need but my big job now is ensuring we don't spend it all before the project is complete. Exciting!
