Festive Day.

Another shot from Winterfest that I
forgot to post. Dh and I had fun posing
under the festive arch out in the hall.
A popular spot to get a nice picture.

More Decorating.

More decorating has been slowly taking
place around the cottage. Little snowman
continue to pop up in various spots. Some
at the front door, some on comfy chairs, a
few on shelves and one on the piano. We
tend to leave our decorations up until mid
February, but I am feeling a bit late this
year with my decor placements. Usually
we're done by now but with my recovery
and so many activities, we're still at it. No
one will know we were a bit late on this.
No one, except all of you. Just our secret!

Are all your decorations out and ready?

Heavenly Drinks.

Our daughters love to create festive and
interesting drinks for all of us to try out
during the holidays. This one we tried
last year and loved it. Jack Frost. Yum!

Still Festive.

Yes, you can see that we haven't yet put away
our decorations from the Christmas Season.

Personally, we love to let the Season last
just a bit longer. It's not over powering,
just a few items here and there. Like our
range hood, with our little Elf and a
sweet little Christmas glass van. And
the wreath is there all year long. It will
come down soon. When we're feeling
ready to put it all away. Soon, I promise!

Not too long ....

.... before this sweet holiday motif on
the Starbucks drinks disappears! I love
the pattern, all lacy and festive. But know
any day now, it will be gone and missed.

Finally, Christmas Dinner!

As dusk began to fill our afternoon, we started
making our festive dinner. Our dear friend T,
who is a true Brit, joined us and we had a great
meal. Yorkshire puddings, roasted cornish hens,
sausages, veggies and a winter salad. Oh, and a
lovely baked whole wheat loaf with fresh butter.

Puddings in the oven.

Dh, dd C1, grandbaby B and T. Dd C2 was taking
her pup outside for a walk before dinner.

T being served by me!

Mmmmmm .... so good!

And then it was all gone!!
