Blogtober: Day 25.

My favorite bouquet. Such soft colors.
Wishing these would last forever and ever!

Still Colorful.

From our smaller Morden Blush rose
bush. A tiny but mighty gift each year.

I've done a great job of ensuring that
the bouquet I received from dh lasts.

Every few days, I take the flowers out,
replace the water and add plant food.

Blossoms that continue to thrive, even
though they are not on the rose bush.

This is more than a week later and these
blooms still look amazing and so fresh.

We'll see how long these will last. I'm
going to add in some baby's breath too.

Tie~Dyed Roses.

My flowers from our anniversary are
now 5 days old and still looking very
healthy and full. I'm so intrigued by
the roses which look like they've been
tie~dyed. I'm going to dry them when
they are almost at the end. So pretty!

Beautiful Bouquet.

A surprise delivery today to the hospice
for me, from my dh, for our anniversary.
I have never seen such a beautiful bouquet.
I'm sure you'll see a few photos all week!

Beautiful Bouquet.

A beautiful and very large bouquet gifted
to me from the Funeral Home at our May
Memorial Service held on May 30th. I
love the scent that has filled our cottage.

Tiny Roses.

I have a combination of both live and
fabric flowers around our little cottage.

One of my favorites is this bouquet of
pink fabric roses, with a light green bow.

I found these at our local charity shop
one day and quickly put them in my
basket ~ they remind me of several
bouquets of pink roses I've received.

Bright Bouquet.

Our Anniversary was lovely. Thank
you for the sweet wishes and notes.

We had a great dinner out to a favorite
restaurant. Service is always amazing
and the food never disappoints. It is
"Lobster Month" at the Keg. Mmmm!

On Friday afternoon, the door to our
classroom opened and a man entered ....

.... with this beautiful bouquet of flowers.
I was going to find a staff member but ....

.... then he said my name and I realized
they were for me! From my lovey ....

Such beautiful colors. My pictures are
never touched up. This is real life here.

I am amazed 4 days later at how bright and
vibrant they have stayed. And so very full.

Love that this was a surprise and that I still
break a smile each time I glance over at them.

It was a cold and rainy weekend but we managed to
still carve out some memory moments. We had another
nice dinner last night with shrimp added to the menu.
Opened up our gifts and then planned our Fall holiday.

Today I want to stay home, in this snuggly, warm bed.
But I have a meeting for our upcoming event, then a
meeting with my boss about our new build and our
partner, then a session with my staff at a daycare.
One of their staff members died and they are worried
about the kids, the families and the other staff. So
we'll go in and do our magic and soon everyone will
be working through their grief. Love this work, even
on cold and rainy days. Daughter and grandson are
home and I'll get back here by afternoon. To snuggle ....

Still Blooming.

The flowers I received in November
from my Board are still blooming.

Very impressed that they've lasted
this long. Our kitchen smells lovely.

New Bouquet.

After the "flower fiasco" in the previous
post, here is the fresh and new bouquet.

Bolder colors, sweet smelling and
definitely not any mold to be seen!

Deceiving.

After returning home from Ottawa, my
Board surprised me with beautiful flowers.

From the opening at the top of the package,
they looked amazing and smelled heavenly.

But when we got home, we discovered mold
and discolored flowers and not a great smell.

Thankfully, my President was able to get a
lovely new bouquet and we did keep both.

I cut back the mold and the discolored petals
and we ended up with more than enough blooms.

April 2015 Photo Challenge ~ Day Two.

The prompt for the 2nd day of the April Photo
Challenge was favorite flowers. I have many but
chose these beautiful roses that my dh gifted to
me one day, for no reason at all. I love the soft
pink & the tiny white baby`s breath. Sweet!

The rosy fragrance & the colors lasted quite a while.

I was sad when they finally faded but dried the petals.
Looking forward to receiving another bouquet one day.

Name your favorite flower or flowers.

Four Weeks!

Hi everyone!

Our baby loss memorial walk was four weeks ago today. And the balloon shop told us that our bouquets of balloons would last about a week. Well, here is our bouquet that we brought home, still going strong, four weeks in!

Isn't it pretty?
