Deer Treats.

We put out our pumpkins this year for

the deer to snack on. They lasted 2 days!

So Much Candy ....

We had very few kids this year so

the amount of candy left over is

a bit too much for us. It will last

a long time in our little cottage!

Happy Halloween!

Today, on a cool and cloudy day,

we're all ready for little ghosts and

goblins to visit the cottage tonight.

Blogtober: Day 30.

We had the best time last night at our local

Museum's Halloween Party. They asked us

to set up on site with our radio station. So

we did and enjoyed providing music and

conversation live, on air. It was a very late

night ~ I think we hit our pillows around

4 am .... but up bright and early to tackle

our long list of outdoor Fall prep. All done

now and happy to have a quiet night not

in costumes! Do you have Halloween plans?

It's all spooky and dark in the Secret Garden! We

can't wait for all the little trick or treaters to visit!

Blogtober: Day 23.

Guess what's happening outside in the

Secret Garden? Yup! Halloween has

arrived and we're starting to make the

cottage look spooky for October 31st!

Blogtober: Day 21.

With just 10 days until Halloween, we've been busy

putting our outdoor decorations up, inflating the

inflatables, placing pumpkins around the cottage

and ensuring little trick or treaters will be spooked

just a bit when they come to visit! Our decorations

are just slightly scary. Having raised many small

children, I'm always wary of making it too horrific,

especially with all the littles that visit. So excited!

No words for the last day of October. Just photos

to share our quiet but lovely spooky Halloween night.

Halloween 2020 ~ Outside the Cottage.

A collection of shots from outside the

cottage tonight. A full moon. A full

night. Tiny goblins. Tons of laughter.

Gratefulness for our decorations. But

for us, it was a fun night and worth all

the work to see happy families. G'nite!

Halloween 2020 ~ Inside the Cottage.

As dusk falls, our cottage starts to light up

with candle light and our outside lighting. 

Candles to warm our hearts on a chilly

Hallows Eve. I love candles in the Fall.

In the sitting room in the front of

the house. Candles and cards ....

scare the little goblins who will visit.

Pumpkins every where! Many are

candle or candle holders. Sweet.

In our front hall. We had so much fun decorating

this year, even in this new Covid life. Our little

trick or treating visitors number less than 20 over

the evening but we loved spoiling each of them,

especially this year with so many things that were

taken away. It was nice to have something to look

forward to, and to have a chance to chat with our

neighbors. It was lovely to hear laughter again and

see such sweet (but spooky) smiles! Covid didn't

win this one. Glad our community came together.
