A Bakery and an Inchworm.

A distraction today from the media storm.

Progress on the tiny bakery is coming

along. And yes, the second window is

missing the top grate. I broke it when I

was painting. But it's wood, so an easy

fix. Next up: floors, shingles and the door.

We stopped to pick up some buns for

dinner the other day and when we got

back in the car, this little guy had some

how managed to hitch a ride with me.

A sweet little green inchworm. I'd had

never seen one up this close before.

Because we were already driving when

I noticed him, we made the decision to

keep going, so little town inchworm very

quickly moved out to the country. I hope

his family is okay. We showed dgs and

then took him out to a low tree and put

him on a leaf. And off he went to do a

little exploring of his new rural home.

Project Update.

Our tiny bakery is starting to develop

it's personality. The door is now black

and the exterior walls are now a sage

green. White trim around the windows.

Still have to decide what kind of floor

to put down. I'm leaning towards a nice

scrapped wood floor but have to google

to see how to do it well. Research is so

much fun ~ I get so many great ideas.

Wish I could do them all. I know one

day we'll have more time but for now,

I carve out time once my work day is

done and do as much as I can when I

can. It works. No time limit. All good.

Miniature Project.

At the Dollhouse Show back in September, we

met a lovely lady who makes these neat boxes

to decorate. I work on dollhouses on my own

but dh and I came up with the idea to create a

project together. So we chatted with Erika and

then ordered our box. We decided on a bakery

and the rest of the time spent at the show was

finding items for our new project. It was a lot of

fund but we had to wait for the box to be done.

I picked it up a couple of weeks ago, in the rain. 

Isn't it sweet? We'll paint it up but she already

put wallpaper inside for us. Pictures to follow.

The back I'm going to take off and attach it to

the side. I think it will be easier than trying to

prop it up to work on the inside all the time. I

do want to hang pictures or shelves on the back.

Our together project to work on over the Winter,

instead of working on work. Excited to tackle this.
