A lovely collection of gifts from my dear family.

Kit Kat (bit of a theme here), the Christmas edition

of The English Home, along with the annual insert,

a bag of my favorite sour candies and a pair of soft

slipper socks to wear on cold Winter nights. Not

shown is the amazing heating pad that dh found.

It's as long as my body, heats from top to bottom

and is also a massager. We had quite a bit of fun

going thru all the settings and killing ourselves

laughing! Dh is always trying to find ways for my

body to be warm as I'm always cold. Thankful for

his kind heart and creative gift giving. I wish I was

as creative but he is easy to please. Loved my day!

My Birthday.

Today was my birthday and it was a

lovely day on so many levels. But the

cake .... well there is a story I'll have to

share. Too funny but sad too! Ah, life!

look like! I love to bake but putting this

together would not be in my wheelhouse!

Birthday Girl.

This sweet baby had a birthday on the

11th of July. Our first born and feistiest!

We found huge cupcakes (her favorite)

and sparklers for the each one to light.

Later on the weekend, we had ice cream

cake, another sweet favorite for all of us.

The sparklers were super bright and in the end, we

didn't light all of them for fear the alarm would go off!

My choice: strawberry cheesecake with chocolate

swirls on top. So delicious but so very filling!

Birthday Cake.

Our oldest dd just celebrated her

birthday on July 11th. It's hard

to think we have a child in her

early 30's when we, most days,

still feel like we're 18! So proud

of have far she's come. HB Chelsea!

Dh celebrated another journey

around the sun last week ....

We went with a funny "moustache"

theme this year. He picked his cake.

But he had no idea we had a theme

until the gifts came out. Too funny!

than the first cake.  Wish I could bake ....

I love baking and wish I could make something

as amazing as this. Isn't it beautiful? I'm sure on

the Great British Bake Off, it would be an easy

challenge .... for me, not so much. Love it!
