We finally found some heavy weight
material to make some Winter curtains.
I was fortunate the fabric store was
able to cut the exact lengths I needed.
So far, easy to sew. And easy to cut.
Love this choice for the living room
and the dining room. We're doing
Plantation Shutters in family room.
Finally, after all these years, getting
set and soon, I'll do a nice reveal ....

I'm sure they will be very nice.
I don't have curtains because it is so nice to look out our big picture windows.Every window has a view of the woods.
So beautiful! Ours also looks out on our woods but in the Summer, it's really hard to enjoy the space as the afternoon sun it tooooo bright! X Chy
How exciting! I remember admiring the gray wool curtains that they used in Austria during the cold, snowy winters. They were thick and warm. Can't wait to see yours. I'm impressed that you are sewing them yourself.
look forward to the big reveal of the newly sewn curtains...there is a bit of cold around our windows - so that i cannot have plants on the windowsills...i have inexpensive thermal curtains covering...i may begin looking for heavy weight material to sew my own...take care...sally
Thank you Stephanie! I like sewing and wish there was more time to do so but these are easy to do. I'd like to add a decorative touch but haven't quite figured out what that will be so far. Austria would be amazing to see! X Chy
Thanks for visiting Sally. Our windows are triple pane so they tend to keep the cold out well. But good curtains help too! Chy
