About Me

November 1, 2020

Hello November.

Hello November! In our house, this is a big birthday month. The 6th is our grandson's 10th, the 19th is dh's and mine is on the 30th. I also have friends and colleagues who are all celebrating at some point this month. This month is also when our snow will traditionally arrive, but often leaves again if the weather stays warm like it is expected for this week, with temps in the double digits again. A good time to take down the Halloween decorations and start to get the Christmas ones put up. The lights on the cottage are all done. We had them lit up for last night and it was a hit with our neighbors and the little goblins. Clear white so really, the lights go with anything. We will leave them up all year ~ so much easier next year and when they are not lit up, you don't really see them. One job off the task list.

Our son and future daughter~in~law are coming for a short but sweet visit the week of November 10th. We're hoping to have our Christmas decorating down by then so that we can have a little celebration as we won't see them this year for the holidays. An early but heartfelt Christmas together.

For the rest of the month, I hope to do more painting, some trim work (think board and batten), a Fall purge, set up the last bits in my grief office at the family centre, write at least 2 grants for funding, finish up our Christmas shopping, mail holiday cards and connect with a few friends that we've only been chatting online. Busy but productive month!

What have you got on tap for November?
Is it a super busy time or nice and quiet?

You are going to have a very busy month! It's only the 1st so I haven't thought much about what needs to be done! This year I'm going to have to break my cardinal rule of "no Christmas until the Thanksgiving dishes are dried and put away" and start shopping early.
