This past week has been crazy. A definite interesting
start to 2021. The U.S. unrest is very upsetting. Ugh!
I thought a lovely post on the amazing Christmas gifts
I received this year would be a better use of my time
and my words. From the top, a sweet new lavender
wheat bag to keep me warm our cold Winter nights.
A book called "The Treasures of Coronation Street," the
Susan Branch puzzle I've wanted all year long, the tiny
Susan Branch Christmas book, a mini bakery to build,
a very lovely pottery candle and "Escape to the Chateau."
Another mini build to put together ~ this one has a cafe
and a garden in it. My favorite SSI lavender bath salts.
Also from SSI (Salt Spring Island) the block I've had
my eye on. This one is quite large and says "Wander"
on it. Now the dilemma is where to hang it! And my
Susan Branch desk calendar. I also received a large
Lego set, part of the Creator series. The tiny bookstore
with the townhouse. The first of many Lego sets I'd
love to have. I never had Lego as a kid so truly loving
it at this time in my life! Truly, I was spoiled once again!
I know I can't get away from the U.S. politics. It's all
around us on the news. But a break was needed. Enjoy!

I just read your questions on Vicki's blog so I thought I would give you an update on life here. I just copied and pasted what I just wrote on her blog too. :-) Washington has many more restrictions than Florida. Our restaurants are carry out only, or dining outside but in the winter here, that's impossible. Pretty much everything except shopping is shut down and they count the number of people allowed inside. Our vaccine roll-out is ridiculously slow. Even with my heart conditions and other medical issues, it's looking like May or June before I'll be able to get a vaccine. It's so frustrating. Then I read online about doses being thrown out because they aren't used fast enough and they're thawed. I think they should have a back-up plan for all of the vaccines to be used.
Okay. Done ranting. I just want to DO things again.
On a happier note, you received some lovely Christmas gifts. What a nice selection of things you love. Have a great Sunday Chy.
Blessings,
Betsy
You received some lovely gifts that will provide lots of entertainment during these winter months.
Those gifts must have made Christmas so special. Enjoy them! :)
Those are such thoughtful gifts! How wonderful, Chy. I love Susan Branch, too. I have some of her artwork hanging in my cottage. I just received my new Mary Engelbreit calendar in the mail. I ordered the datebook, too. It's so fun to get organized and ready for 2021.
Thank you for the brief respite from the news. You received some beautiful gifts.
Thank you Betsy. Great info on Florida. We are eligible for the vaccine and looks like next week or soon after we'll be inline. Scary! I hope your date moves up so you can be vaccinated sooner.
