The World of Miniatures!

Hi everyone!

More photos from our recent trek to the miniature dollhouse show. We love going to this fun event every year!

The tiniest dollhouse I've ever seen.

Shadow boxes.

Beautiful scenes.

Christmas themes.

We got a lot of great ideas. Can't wait for our house to be done. Once we move in, we'll complete the art studio and set up both dollhouses there to work on them gradually. Unpacking all the little treasures we've collected over time is going to be a lot of fun. Putting it all together is going to take a lot of work. But so much fun too!!

Did you have a dollhouse growing up?
Or wish you had one now to fix up?

What a wonderful place to visit. I had one when I was growing up and so did my daughter and granddaughter. My daughter wants to get into the miniature doll houses when her kids go off to college.

I never had a dolls'house. These look beautiful. Have you read the 'Borrowers' stories by Mary Norton? They are not set in a dolls' house, but do concern all things miniature and are very charming, and very old fashioned. X

Betty, it's a fun event that we look forward to every year. I tuck away a loose dollar or two here and there and we usually have saved $100 for the day. So much fun. Hope your daughter gets in to the world of miniatures!

I've not heard of the Borrowers but will look at the library the next time I'm there. Thanks Penny!
