64 Door Knobs.

I counted a whopping 32 doors in our house today.
That makes a grand total of 64 doorknobs. Not
an easy job to choose that many for each room.
In the end, we chose 2 styles to make it easy.

This set is for the front door. The small doorknob
at the bottom is the same as the knobs all over the
house. A bit of character, instead of  just a round
silver ball. We love it & are very happy with these.

There are 4 french doors, so we chose a set of
glass knobs for each. Such a classic look!

Close up of the glass sets.

Sparkly & filled with character. My
grandparents had french doors with
glass knobs when I was a young child.
I loved playing with them, feeling like
a princess living in a castle. Maybe our
grand baby's will have this sweet memory.

Are all the door knobs in your house the same?

Hi Chy, all our door knobs are plain round silver (steel) knobs, which we chose for simplicity when we moved in to our house. I have distinct memories of a pair of beautiful door knobs my mother had when we were children; glass, with millefleurs setting. You gazed through the glass and all the little pieces reflected and seemed to move. They were never actually used on a door, thought! I must ask mum what happened to them X

love the glass door knobs, classic and pretty at the same time. You have a lot of doors.

We had glass knobs on the French doors that opened onto our stairwell on the main floor in the century old house I grew up in.
Haven't seen many since....

It would be interesting Penny to hear what your mom knows about the glass knobs from your childhood home. X

Too many doors Gill, but that includes the apartment in our lower level too. I would have loved glass knobs on all of them but our budget didn't have the room. Next house!!

They are hard to find slugmama! It took us months to find these 4.

Round doorknobs are the most common knobs in houses, probably because of its durability. Anyway, those glass type knobs look fabulous. It really goes well with certain door designs – like French doors, for instance. Anyway, thanks for sharing this with us. Have a great day!

Door knobs can be a true pain in the butt if you aren't prepared for changing them out here and there. Working with an expert locksmith is another way to get the job done and know that you are doing something that is going to save lots of time and provide you with the work that needs to be done at home.
