About Me

A Big Project.

For quite a while, I've been scouring boot
sales, our local Antique Mall and thrift stores.

Searching, searching, searching for a decent
window frame for a project in my head.

We finally scored one for a very affordable $20.
And even though one of the panes is broken,
it's just perfect for what I want to do. Lots of
work to get it in to the condition it needs to be.

Taking out the panes of glass so I can paint
the frame has been quite a challenge. So far,
I haven't broken anything or cut up my fingers.
Tedious work but in time, I hope it looks like this:

Wouldn't this be a sweet project to finish?
I may leave 2 of the panes of glass in.
But the chicken wire is so vintage for
what I want to use this frame for. Lovely.

Sweet Stationary.

I love this line of stationary that I
stumbled across at HomeSense.

It's called Lily McGee and in addition
to these lovely little note pads, I also
picked up some thank you cards and
blank note cards for letters. Sweet!

Do you collect stationary?
If so, what do you look for in style or brand?

Worth the Wait.

After living in our home for over
8 months, we finally have light in
our little hall that is between our linen
closet and our master bedroom.

It was a long wait but so worth it.
Now we have to tackle hanging
up the pictures that will line our
walls. Can't wait for the next step.

Isn't it an amazing light?
There are 2 more to install now!

Intense Windstorm.

But we were warm and cozy inside,
with fireplaces on, a fridge full of
food and lots of projects to work on
while the wind howled and raged.

How was your weekend?
Are you getting "interesting" weather too?

Wreath Down ....

It was so windy outside today that I
had to take our Spring Wreath off our
front door, for fear it would blow away!
It looks so lost sitting in the front hall.

Was it windy in your little corner today?
Rain, snow, wind, hail or just nice sun?

Promised Picture.

I finished this tiny birdhouse for
my very first fairy garden today.

Sweet project. Looking forward
to creating the next one now.

Have you made a fairy garden before?
Or planning to make one in the future?

Early Rising.

This is how the sun rises on our walls in the stairwell
early in the morning. Love the comfy feeling of a
sweet house with warm sunlight streaming in. A
beautiful sight that starts the day off in the right way.

Dark Stormy Night.

The wind is howling, the trees are dancing
and we're tucked into bed, safe and sound.

The rain is supposed to start soon and I hope
there won't be any thunder and lightening.
It's strange to be having a storm so early
in the Spring but our winter was pretty mild.

Have you had any wind and rain storms yet?
Is it mild in your neck of the woods or unstable?
