I baked scones on Saturday. My first attempt
and from the family reviews, a success.
Cooked up the bacon, put the dry ingredients
together and then made my own buttermilk.
Mixed up the grated cheese, cooked bacon and
chives. Poured in the buttermilk and stirred.
Rolled out the mixture, cut out the circles and
then baked for 16 minutes. Not too hard at all.

I make scones almost weekly but we like then sweet with raisins or cranberries or even that glaced fruit ( available mainly at Christmas). I've never tried putting bacon in biscuits but I do make them with cheese. Super good with soup.
We really liked them. Will have to try another batch. X Chy
