Tiny Glow Lamp.

Here's my contribution to
Mockingbird Hill Cottage's
"A Favorite Thing".

A tiny lamp that we found
at the charity shop. I think
we paid $1.00 for it. Bonus!
It lights the upper hallway,
sitting on an old radio, with
a lace doily & tiny
vintage pictures hanging
on the wall above.

I love the colors, the
tiny details & the
soft ambient light
that glows.
We have an unspoken rule
in our house. Whoever is upstairs
at the end of our busy day,
whoever happens to be there
as the sun begins to set,
turns this tiny lamp on.
It warms the hall &
our hearts as we climb the
stairs each night. It makes
our home feel even
more like a comfy
place to be.

Hello Chy - I love what you have chosen as your favorite thing today, and how the light is turned on by a family member. We too have a tiny antique lamp in the foyer which is turned on each early evening - but there's only two of us, ha! ha!

Have a fun weekend - Mary

I light a candle for the same reason. It's nice to have a soft light at night. :-) Have a nice weekend. Regula

Much sweeter than a plain old nightlight! Sweet vignette, too, with the other vintage items.

I have a lovely comforting lamp that I bought in France. It always pleases me to see it glowing in the evening.

Thank you everyone for your wonderful comments. It's lovely to read that others love the glow of a lamp in the evening. Definitely a good choice for "A Favorite Thing" this week!

We have little lamps that we turn on in the early evening, too. Isn't that lamplight wonderful? I love your lamp and you sure got it for a great price.

Thanks so much for joining in this week!

Thanks Claudia. Our thrift store is incredible. The prices are crazy low. Yesterday we bought a brand new, still in the box and wrapped chocolate fondue set for $2, a brand new with tags dress for $1 for summer, a brand new spool of white ribbon for .50 cents, a brand new "new daddy" mug for our son for his first father's day for .50 cents and a Old Navy Batman hoodie for our grandson for $1. We live in an affluent community and it seems like so many of our residents choose to donate the items they may not be crazy about, still brand new, to the store instead of returning them to the store. The best part of the store is the profit goes back to the community in the form of grants to our local charities. My organization has received a number of grants over the years. Bonus!
