a bit too much for us. It will last

a long time in our little cottage!

babies slept in our arms and in baskets.

This crib, a Jenny Lind, was so pretty.

But never used for it's intended purpose.

Finally!

 

One thing that is a constant living in the country is
trees that fall during windstorms or we have to cut
down if they are not doing well. And then we are
left with little piles of logs. Finally found an amazing
gentlemen who is coming to clear out some of our
bush and he has promised to come back in the Spring!

Thanksgiving Dinner.

We had the most amazing dinner with our family and

our neighbors from down the lane. The kids were in

the kitchen and we were all at the dining room table.

Such great conversations, laughter and sad moments

with sharing some tough experiences we've all had

in the last little while. This is how community is built

and now healing can happen. Sharing is caring and we

are fortunate to have such amazing people in our lives!

Brave Soul.

Dd is the bravest soul. She has just one wisdom tooth. Never grew all four for some reason. But the one she did sprout was coming in on its side. At some point, it would probably cause her some issues, so our dentist suggested getting it removed. She had surgery yesterday. Her first ever. First iv, first being put to sleep and thru the whole thing, she was the star patient ~ their term, not mine! I was so nervous but from the moment she walked in to the clinic until we left, she was treated with warmth and compassion. The dentist was amazing, coming in to talk with her prior to the surgery and he was so calming. Her nurse was kind and caring, and funny. Over all, it couldn't have gone better. From the time we left home to when we pulled back into the garage, it was just under three hours and that included driving in to the Big City. Now she's home and resting but feeling quite good so far. Our brave soul. So very proud!

years ago. Little B was almost 2. Now he'll be 13

he's at now, with his own personality and his humor!
